Blurb:

The first time I met Kalina Lawson, she nearly passed out. Being a firefighter, I couldn’t just walk back to my cabin. I stayed with her until I knew she was all right. But her warm and friendly company is refreshing, and I quickly become enamored with the stunning cabin manager. When danger and threats start kicking up around Kalina, my quick fishing trip with the guys turns into a mission to keep her safe.

I thought River Voss, the hot renter in the cabin next door, was just an extra work bonus. Living in the middle of the woods wasn’t always my dream. But the second I got the opportunity to run Tree Haven Cabin Rentals, I jumped on it. I couldn’t get away from the negativity of my hometown fast enough. At least I thought I was leaving it behind. With an enemy upping his game against me, my peaceful life in the woods is slipping out of my hands. And that hot new renter becomes the protective force I’ve never had.

Now I need River not only to help me save this business, but to save me too.

I highly recommend ALL of her books, and also pre-ordering.

Let me know what ya think!

Hidden Waters by Catherine Cowles

My love for Catherine Cowles books is HUGE!

Like, every single book has pulled me in, made me want to read everything over again, and makes me happy not only when I've finished the book, but throughout the reading of said book. Any book. ALL THE BOOKS! : )

So, yeah.

I love her writing style & story telling!

My Review:

Beckett & Addie's story is excellent! Wonderful pacing & lots of emotion. Theirs is a story of friendship to love, healing and being healed - allowing that healing to happen can sometimes be the hardest obstacle to face!

We get to see Hayes & Hadley & Shy a bit, too, and see how Beckett interacts with them. The family aspect there deserves hugs all around!

I loved the pacing, as mentioned. They don't rush into anything, and Beckett is very aware of how skittish Addie is about sharing space with him. He immediately figures out a way to put her at ease, which is actually a really fun moment in the story! 💜😁

Addie also recognizes something in Beckett that she is able to help with, and being able to help him makes her less... wary... of accepting his help. It's just really beautifully written! She struggles with relationships, but puts in the work to form or heal some attachments while standing up for herself to sever others.

There's drama, but not in their relationship, and I absolutely love the way it all played out! Tears & laughs & love, with a dash of steam. Thumbs up!!

😍😍😍

Last on the List by Amy Daws

 Happy New Release to Amy!!

Before I get into sharing my review and links, a little story about Amy must be shared.

I "discovered" her thanks to Instagram. She, Meghan Quinn, and Sara Ney had this whole girl gang thing going on, and as part of a ... promotion? I'm actually not even sure how it started ... they had this idea to crash a wedding. They posted about it a lot. They took dance classes. They took requests. And then they crashed a wedding, documenting it all on the 'gram. It was so much fun! I started following all three of them on social & found some pretty great stories I enjoyed from each of them, as well.

This story, Last on the List, is the final installment of a series Amy started writing because of a little tire shop in her hometown. I highly encourage y'all to check out THAT story, and then start this series with Wait With Me, because it is A LOT of fun! The whole series is quite entertaining!

Now, for Last on the List!

Excellent cover, right?

Amy designed it! : )

My Review:

Okay, so I am really NOT a fan of any time the term "daddy" is used other than as an affectionate term from a child for their parent. I.e., not in a bedroom way at all. (There have been exceptions, but 98% of the time, hard no.) For whatever reason, the term "zaddy" isn't as creepy, thankfully, because it definitely plays a big role for Cozy & Max. LOL

This story is deliciously full of laughter, healing, relaxation, and STEAM. Set your fan. Part of both the amusement and steam are the "kinks." *grin* Trust me, they're fun & not triggery. The relationships are highlighted in amazing ways - not just w/ Cozy (aka Cassandra) & Max, but Everly, Jessica, our Wait With Me gang, every relationship gets some page time & is just beautifully done. There is an awesome LGBTQ+ storyline involved, as well, and I just want to give a huge thumbs up to the way this was written! It's a great example of how the community can and should be represented.

Also, the way PTSD and healing is portrayed in bits of the story - another thumbs up there!

I feel blessed to have read this story. Highly enjoyable!!!

I'd love to know what you think!

I'd also love to know if there are any authors you've discovered because of social media. Maybe you didn't start out following them because of their books, but because something about them caught your eye. I can't be the only one! ; )

My Perfect Enemy by Jessica Prince

It's time for a new release from Jessica Prince, and this was a 5+ star read for me!

Normally I'm not a huge fan of enemies to lovers tropes, because the characters can be so MEAN to each other, and that's just not my jam.

This one, however, is AMAZING!

My Review:

Fabulous, fantastic read!! I loved Nate & Luna a lot! Their banter & chemistry, their arguments while butting heads but still attracted to each other... mwah!

Also, I loved how Evan fit into the story. Her attitude, the feelings she expresses thru the story, all of it was very well done & made me a bit emotional! Teenagers!!

There's a great balance of sweet & spicy & LOL woven in. I greatly enjoyed this whole read & can't wait for y'all to experience Nate & Luna!!
