This series has some tough storylines, as family sagas do, and Hades has one of the toughest backgrounds... But I love her, and I'm so happy she gets her HEA!

My Review:

She did it.

I knew she would. I messaged her after reading Freak Show, telling her I knew Hades' redemption was going to be awesome. And. It. Is!!!

Ok, so Hades seemed like the biggest jerk in Ari's book. But finding out her reasons, inner struggles, the truth of what was going on... brilliant! Heart breaking. And healing, when Hannibal is brought into the picture. 

Oh, Hannibal!! I adore him & his protective ways! The way his obsession with Hades begins & continues is swoony in a BA kind of way. I love their relationship & how they truly fit together. I love how she gives him her trust, and how he protects that trust. I love the journey her healing takes 

These two also definitely bring the 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. 

I am falling more in love with this family & am looking forward to more stories!

Redeeming Rabbit by Harley Stone

 Harley Stone has a new story in the Dead Presidents series!! 

I fell in love with this MC full of veterans from the first read of the first book, Link'd Up. 

And now we get Rabbit's story! 

He's intense, and has demons to fight.

He's a badass biker, and a sweetheart to Elenore.

He'll bring out your need to hug a fictional character. 

My Review: 

Oh, Rabbit! You were worth the wait! 

I love this series a lot. The men & women in the Dead Presidents world are all strong, capable characters. Some, like Rabbit, have some serious issues to work through. My heart broke for him several times as he resisted getting the help his brothers knew he needed. He has this block about therapy, and it takes some major effort to break through. 

I adore Elenore and all her quirks! She's the perfect combination of smart & sassy to snare her Rabbit. She sees things scientifically, and feels a bit cut off from the world because of that. She has insecurities that pop up because of that, too, & I love how Rabbit helps her get out of that shell. 

(BTW, I'm not spoiling his legal name, but do have to say the person he's named after is a favorite from my childhood!) 

Their story is full of humor & heart, warmth & steam, family & what it truly means. Elenore & Tina, Rabbit & Rose, and the found family in the club all show different types of family relationships. The way the club comes together to get Rabbit the help he needs & encourages Elenore to be a part of that really warmed my heart. And they're there to help with protecting her, too. 😉

Excellent read & I'm so happy to have more from this club!!

Freak Show by Lani Lynn Vale

 Welcome to release day for book 2 in the fabulous 

 Welcome To The Circus series by Lani Lynn Vale! 

This one brings an HEA that fans of LLV have been waiting YEARS for.

Or, maybe just me.

But I don't think it was just me.  ; ) 

My Review: 

I LOVE Slone & am so happy he got an HEA of his very own! I've been wanting this since he fist showed up in a previous series! I'm also happy we get to experience a good amount of his friendship with Titus & Banner. 💜

Caristonia, aka Tony, gets a new nickname from Slone of Ari, which I adored. Ari fits her somehow better! I enjoyed the pacing of their romance (quick!) & that they don't fight their connection at all. She bonds with Briley right away, too, which is fun! 

There's a lot going on with the circus & family that I didn't really connect with, or like. I'm hopeful that when we get Hades's story, I'll get more insight into her & will be able to like her again. Slone is super protective of Ari, and I kinda am, too! I want her to be able to have a healthy relationship with all her siblings! She has so much heart and courage and love - she's so perfect with Slone! 

I did quite enjoy the part the tigers got to play! Coco & Melon ... I want to snuggle them (carefully)!

This one made me upset at the Singh family, though, and hopefully there will be some healing as the series goes on. I know I get too emotionally invested in stories, in general. I can't read most "bully romance" tropes because I just can't handle ppl being mean to each other. And the sisters are not very kind to Ari in this story - even though they all love each other & it's just family dynamics, it still made me want to smack most of the family through this one! 

Anywhoodle! I loved Slone & Ari, and the ending makes me think I'll understand one sister's actions more in a future story, so that makes me happier. LOL

Champion by Michelle Mankin

 Michelle Mankin writes SPICY and emotional stories. 

Her writing style is beautiful, and I've been a fan for ages.

I've also been blessed to meet her & get to know her personality, which is just the sweetest rock chick vibe. She's awesome! : ) 

So, her new release is different than her rocker/surfer stories, in that the main character is a football player, but the vibes with Champion & Electra & the extended group of characters are spot on with her normal style. Highly recommend! 

I'm going to use the cover reveal graphic below because it shows both covers & both covers are super neat! 

My Review: 

Champion & Electra are a fabulous couple! I love the way they are each other's light, the way they heal each other. Champion isn't used to having to chase someone down to be with him, but Electra gives him a run for his money! 😁 She's different in a lot of ways, which makes her perfect for him. 

These two are sweet together, but also be ready for the 🔥🌶🔥🌶🔥🌶🔥🌶 because this author brings the STEAM with her couples, and these two have quite a bit of steamy page time. Whew! 

That part's not my favorite, but the emotional connection, the surprises, the friendships, the Easter eggs & cameos, the communication... all are amazingly written and made this a highly enjoyable read. Loved it!!!

Temptress by Jessica Prince

 I highly enjoy Jessica Prince in general, the Whiskey Dolls series overall, and Temptress quite a lot! 

This was such a fantastic read! 

My Review:

Wow!! Sloane & Silas are 💔🌶🔥🌶🔥💔❤️❤️❤️❤️🌶🔥🌶🔥! So, tissues, a fan, some snacks... I suggest reading with these things close by. 😉

I love Sloane to bits! Silas ... I wanted to hug him, then smack him, then hug him. His heart has been bruised in a different kind of way, and his love for his daughter is so deep, he lets it blind him to LIFE. Sloane is such a delight as she helps him rediscover that life. Or, how living feels, is a better description, maybe. 

Darcy & Kim are awesome. I love the co-parenting relationship Silas & Kim have. And how Sloane is able to bond with Darcy. That whole portion is sweet! 

This whole story is a delight to read, and I devoured it!

Fun House by Lani Lynn Vale

 It's time for a brand new Lani Lynn Vale!!

Y'all know I have been excited about this new series, and book 1 exceeded all my expectations! 

My Review:

This story is AWESOME!!! I loved Simi & Coffey from beginning to end! We get to know the Singh family more, Folsom pops her head in a time or two, new & old friends make an appearance... and the relationships are everything I love about an LLV story.

Coffey is swoony, BA goodness. Simi is quirky and lovely, and I enjoyed her personality so much! 

We get humor and steam, banter and suspense.
