I'll Just Date Myself by Lani Lynn Vale

Are you ready for another LLV release?!

This one is FANTASTIC!

I'm so very sorry to see this series come to an end, but also - as you know with LLV - the new series is connected to this one, so we're not really saying goodbye,,. : )

My Review:

I love love LOVE Kobe & Folsom's story!!! They have a very interesting beginning, and even when they seem like they're annoyed with each other, it's sort of ... playful. That's not exactly it, but close.

They're protective of each other, sweetly spicy, and deal with the suspense going on in relatable ways. I love them together so much!! Love getting to know JP, catching up with the Gator Bait family, and meeting Felix! Plus, some awesome connections & cameos... just highly enjoyed this!!

Also looking forward to the next series!

😍😍😍

I know a couple books in this series seemed like they were more miss than hits for me, but I've loved the series as a whole, so very much! And all of the characters - they are a family brought together by circumstance and fate - and maybe a little help from a couple certain someones... *happy sigh*

Let me know what you've thought of the series!

Limitless by C.B. Noy

Happy New Release to C.B. Noy!!

Limitless is the beginning of a spin off series from her Mountain Grove series & I highly recommend that series, too! ; )

My Review:

Rico Suave! Billy Joel! Rico & River's story is full of Billy Joel song titles, and I highly enjoyed that particular quirk in their banter. Huge fan! ❤️❤️❤️

Also a huge fan of the stories this author has created! This little town and its inhabitants... so much goodness here! Rico & River have an instant connection, but it's not until he makes it his mission to rescue her sister that the sparks really fly. As Sophia learns to trust River, they both open up to Rico, forming the family they all need.

Speaking of family - Rico's clan is a riot! His brothers are all protective alphas, and they give each other so much heck, but all in love. You can feel how much they mean to each other in every conversation. And they, along with their parents, pull River & Fia right into the fold!

I love the banter, the bonding, the sprinkle of steam, and the suspense! Also, the hints of the upcoming couples add so much anticipation! 😁

The story is about Rico & River falling in love, of course, but the family & friendships are woven so well into it you can feel the depth of MORE.

Also, there are kittens!

😍😍😍

Favorite Mistake by Jessica Prince

Happy New Release to Jessica Prince!
This is one of my favorite covers from this series, too.
It's playful & sweet & gorgeous!

And inside is one of my favorite stories of the series.

My Review:

Holton & Lyric are adorable!! And also 🔥🔥🔥🔥! Like, they get super spicy! Holt is fierce in the bedroom & Lyric matches him, which is exactly what they both need in a partner. They have some things to work through, of course, and Holt has to do some groveling. I really liked the way he apologized (not the first time!) and the way Lyric reacts (also the first time!). Their banter & conversations & support of each other was mwah! 💋

Their story is sweet & spicy, suspenseful & so much fun to read! And I LOVE Churro! Seriously the cutest. It was nice to see Lyric's friendships with the crew, and to catch up a bit. I adore Deva's support & defense of Lyric. It was neat to see her get to show her confidence!

Favorite Mistake is on my favorites shelf!

😍😍😍😍

Special Kind of Twisted by Lani Lynn Vale

It's that time!

Time for a new LLV! *cheers*

My Review:

Ummm.

So, I think this is the perfect title for Greer & Davis. I mean, not so much them as their book. There's a lot of convoluted story telling here, a lot of it doesn't make much sense, and I'm seriously confused as to WTH happened.

Why did these two have such a dislike for each other? No idea. Actually, did they ever really dislike each other or was it just teenage jealousy over sharing their bestie? Idk, but it's confusing. There's some family stuff & a suspense portion that made zero sense to me. There's a random fishing trip where Greer is injured and then the injury just kind of disappears. There are a few scenes that seem sprinkled in for an unknown purpose... I just don't get it.

Now, I know all of that sounds bad, but I'm rating this 4 stars! What kind of twisted logic is that? (See what I did there? 😉)

Well, the thing is, even though I was grossed out by a few things and confused by a few more, I really, REALLY liked Greer & Davis. I ENJOYED their story. I love the way they are with each other, with Sara, with the Davis family & the MC family. I love seeing more of Sunny, Kobe, Folsom, etc. I love the quirky birds & Greer's job.

At the end of the day, this story entertained me, and I enjoyed it overall. I'm not going to ignore the things that made me 🤔, but if I was entertained, I imagine others will be as well!

😍

Seductress by Jessica Prince

 Hello, Party Peeps!

I hope you're having a fantastic week full of great reads & delicious food!

And coffee, or tea, or whatever drink of choice makes you happy!

Happy new release to Jessica Prince! Seductress is a fun, pizza-oven kinda slow burn that I enjoyed.

My Review:

First of all, this story made me crave a good slice of sausage & mushroom or Hawaiian pizza. Yum!

Next, we have Hazel. She's a nut! LOL Okay, not really, but Hazelnut is the cute nickname she has from Hardin & Ford. *grin* I quite enjoyed her spunkiness!

Ford & Hardin's journey to their HEA is full of banter & steam, and some high emotions that Ford has to work through. It's quite the ride! Sprinkle in Owen & Asher, some parental drama, and the suspense of someone out to get Hardin, and this was an enjoyable read. I love the banter when Ford & Hardin are together!

😍😍😍

Heart of Gold by Amie Knight

Happy New Release to one of my favorite story tellers - Amie Knight!

My Review:

This is a sweet story with a touch of heat. Will & Ramsay have been best friends since they were little, and now that they're in college, they have to decide if they're willing to take a risk & give in to the stronger feelings they've developed.

I enjoyed this quick read for the most part - love the characters & seeing Miranda & Holden's cameos. However, for such a short story, I would have liked more of our couple together rather than the page time given to their individual, internal back & forth.

Still, I adored the ending!!

😍😍😍

The Voices Are Back by Lani Lynn Vale

 It's that time again!

Time for new Gator Bait MC excitement!

My Review:

Highly enjoyed Morrigan & Aodhan's installment to this series! There were a few bits & baubles that were ??? but overall it was a solid story (and the ??? aren't plot-related, so not a big deal).

Morrigan has an interesting medical condition that makes life a bit topsy turvy, and I loved how she, and Aohdan, and their friends, handle it. I enjoyed their relationship & the sweetness! And Bowie!! 😁

There's not a huge mystery or lots of action in the story. Its focus is on their second chance & how they make it work. And it worked well for me!!

😍😍😍
