New Release - One Short Summer by Jasmin Miller

Words are such wonderful things!
When used by fantastic story tellers, they weave together tales to make our emotions come out.  This story definitely brings the feels - happy, enjoyable feels!

My Review:

I fell in love w/ Monica & Gabe's characters in Charlie & Hudson's book, Baking With A Rockstar, and even more so in their story! This opens about a year after book one, and we get to see into their friendship, which turns into so much more. I love their banter!!! They're so sweet & Gabe lives up to his nickname of Charming. *grin*

We also get to see more of Gabe & Hudson's family, and all the characters are written so well they just leap off the page! I'm hoping that their sisters are getting books, as well, because I'd love to read their HEA's! Loved this story so much!!! : )

Have you read this and/or Baking With A Rockstar?

Sooooo goood!
Give them a shot - you'll laugh a lot & feel good at the end.

Happy Reading!!

FAVORITE READ - Until December by Aurora Rose Reynolds

Have you read this series?
I have been in love with this author's story telling since I picked up her first book, Until November, which I picked up because my birthday is in November.  And I'd never seen anyone NAMED November & I thought that was super cool.

Her stories are low angst but still full of emotion.
She brings the steam, the heart, and all the feels.
Her stories make me HAPPY!!!

My Review:

I adore this series, and this is one of my favorites in it. Gareth is WONDERFUL as a single dad to Max & Mitchell. We met them all briefly in Harmony & Harlen's story, and I thought he was going to end up w/ someone else, but I'm SOOOO glad he ended up being December's BOOM!

As for Gareth & December, their relationship starts off a bit rocky. But once they start really communicating with each other, it takes off fast. And speaking of communication - the way they talk through situations that come up throughout their story is done SO WELL! I love the openness they have with each other and with the boys.

And, of course, there's the chemistry between our couple. *fans self* It's hot & steamy w/o taking over the story, and without making me feel a need to skip through anything. ; )

This book absolutely made me a happy reader, and deserves 10+++ stars! : )

Walk On By - Sarah Hegger

Walk On By
by
Sarah Hegger

Happy Release Day to Sarah!!
I really love this cover, especially bc of our heroine.
: )

I haven't had a chance to read this yet (July has seriously gotten away from me & I didn't realize today was the 10th...) but I highly enjoyed books 1 & 2!!
This one is not going in the direction I thought it would, based on the blurb, so that's been interesting!

I'll update this post once I've finished the book & have my review ready, but in the meantime, if you haven't started the series yet, go ahead & grab book 1!
And if you HAVE read the series, let me know what you think?

High Tide and Island Side by Michelle Mankin

by
Michelle Mankin

Michelle writes stories full of STEAM.
They're engaging, beautiful stories, but sometimes they hold elements that are hard on my hard NO list, which can cause a struggle for me.  This happened with High Tide for sure.  Amazing story, but just not for me.
Still, as I say in my review, I was looking forward to reading Island Side.  Even with all the steamy goodness (I like steam, I do, I just have a personal threshold!  LOL), Island Side was an easier read for me (I devoured it in a day!).

Since this is a duet, I've linked to my reviews in the titles above rather than posting them both here.
I recommend these - and Oceanside to read about Fanny & Ash, who I adored - when you're looking for beautiful, steamy, emotional stories of healing, love, and family.

If you've read them, as always I'd love to know your thoughts!!

I love this series, SO MUCH and this story fits right in.
The books are each quick reads with a big Kristen Ashley feel in the character development department.
Each book gives us a sassy heroine, an Alpha hero, a mystery/suspense element, and just enough steam to make us happy w/o going overboard.

Wrong Side of the Tracks takes us on Gypsy & Marco's journey to their HEA.
Marco played a part in Consume (Civil Corruption #3), which the author was kind enough to let us know through social media.  I hadn't read her books before this series, so I didn't realize there was a connection to a different series.  They all read as stand alones well, but I love connections, so I had to read Consume!  I'm so glad I did - getting to know Marco a bit before his own book was fantastic (and I loved that story, too!)!!  : )

Now, on to the story of the hour!
I enjoyed Marco in Consume.
I enjoyed Gypsy in the other books in the series.  She is sassy and brave and loyal.

Squeeeee! Marco is 100% book boyfriend material! He was swoony goodness in Consume & he wasn't even putting all his effort in then. With Gypsy, he is ALL IN and he is amazing. A MA ZING!!!

It took me a little longer to warm up to Gypsy. I enjoyed the glimpses we get of her in the earlier books, and I definitely admired her heart throughout this story, but she fights Marco pretty hard there for a while, and I wanted to both smack and hug her. So... yeah.

Their story is fabulous, though! I love her sisters & brothers, how Marco bonds with them, how the suspense portions play out, how the storyline goes for supporting characters... overall I loved the story lots & lots!!! : )

I'd love to know what you think!
