Playing For Keeps by Jessica Prince

 This is a marvelous series!!

I love love love LOVE it & yes, I gush about it every time a new book comes out. :D

My Review:

Dalton & Charlotte are fantastic! They connected while he was guarding her, but then she got scared & he felt guilty & suddenly they haven't really spoken in six months. BUT! Those feelings, that connection - never really left. So once they stopped avoiding each other - EXPLOSIVE CHEMISTRY!

Even when they get together, though, there are still things they need to work through. I really enjoyed the pacing & way they do that! Their banter & fire, the sweet & protectiveness they have for each other, and a lot of laughs with his family & her neighbor.

There's some great suspense as well, and I'm really looking forward to seeing what happens w/ some of the things that were revealed about other characters (who will hopefully be getting their own stories for me to devour)!! AND! The ending... big smiles & big swoons!!

One More Time by Aurora Rose Reynolds

 Excellent, wonderful story!

Aurora Rose Reynolds has been one of my top tier authors since I fell in love w/ November & Asher in Until November. The Maysons sucked me into their world & wouldn't let go!

As the years have passed, ARR has added to the Until world & has created other worlds I've fallen in love with just as much. Ruby Falls is such a world.

My Review:

I fell in love with Tide (& his daughter, Olivia) in Gia & Colton's story. I kinda expected his story would go a different way, but Aria is his absolutely perfect HEA match!

Their story is sweet & just the right amount of steamy. Tide is absolutely an alpha, but not too OTT. He's immediately in protector mode from the minute Aria opens the door to him, tho!! I love the pacing - the nearly immediate friendship turning into admitting their attraction & starting a relationship.

They both have some outside drama going on, & I love that they each get a chance to help & support with those issues. They don't let it touch THEIR relationship.

And we get to see lots of Colton & Gia, & Olivia! Also, the way various aspects of relationship healing are portrayed get an extra 5 stars!!

Kitty Kitty by Lani Lynn Vale (Cover Reveal)

Happy to share all the things about this series by LLV!

So far I've been loving the covers & the stories!

Kitty Kitty comes out June 29th!

What's it about & where can you pre-order?

This is the story of a man falling in love with a woman.

A man that was supposed to be a role model, and a woman that was just barely twenty-one.

A man who should’ve known better, and a woman that didn’t know that she was destroying his career word by word, innocent touch by innocent touch, smile by smile, until it had already imploded.

The world collapses around Absinthe ‘Sin’ Solomon, and the only thing he can do is try not to take her down with him.

The moment the inevitable happens, and the gavel bangs signaling that he will spend the next nine years in prison for attempted murder, Sin tries to let go. But Blaise Mackenzie has never, not ever, been one to give up without a fight.

Her military career might be over, but her career as a prison guard is just about to get started.

And her favorite prisoner? A pissed-off older man, a drill sergeant dishonorably discharged from the Army that tells himself daily that the new ‘Kitty Kitty’ female prison guard is not for him.

After following him around for years, watching over him from afar in any way she can, Sin is released early. And the first person that he’s going to see? A stubborn little blonde-headed female that should’ve known better than to trust a man like him.

Wild Wind by Kristen Ashley

 Chaos.

The intriguing & exciting world of bikers whose first priority is family. : )

My Review:

Ah, the much anticipated look into Jagger's head, and his HEA!!

First of all, I love Jagger & Archie! The way they connected from across a graveyard. The way they meet up throughout the years - even tho it's a lot of "missed connections" kind of vibe. The way they finally CONNECT with each other. It's all well paced, well written, and an enjoyable relationship read!

One thing that bothers me, however, is how "lost" I feel like Hound is in Jagger's story. Overall, I feel like Hound gets the shaft - he has been there for Jagger, he has been a father to him for much longer than he's been his official stepdad. And I feel like Black gets all the credit, when Hound put in the work. There are little ways that he's pulled in & we see his influence in the man Jagger has become, but I just didn't feel like that was acknowledged enough, and instead it was all about Jagger needing to somehow connect with Black... Idk if that will make sense to anyone else, but it's how I felt!

Aside from that, I loved the story! The things that are going on with Archie & her family dynamic, the store, the kids, all of those story lines were done well & gave me happy feels! And the way things pull together with Dutch, Jagger, Keely - and Black. That was sweet, even through my aforementioned bothersome thoughts.

I love the 1001 Dark Nights collaboration - so many stories that I feel like might not have been told without it. Or, might have taken longer to be told, ya know? I highly recommend Kristen Ashley books in general, and also taking a look into the wonderful world of 1001 Dark Nights for other authors you may discover a love for! ; )

Together by Jennifer Van Wyk

 Happy Release Day!

This story is quite fun!

And this cover - so sweet! Does a good job of giving you the feel of the book, I think.

Jennifer Van Wyk is a favorite author because her stories are always heartfelt, fun, bantery goodness. I've never had any concerns that something on my "hard no" list will pop up, which is nice, as well. : )

ALSO!

She's an Iowa girl, so of course I count her in my #SupportLocal campaigns.

*grin*

My Review:

Nik & Ashley's story is full of swoon! I love their meeting & the way they click right from the beginning. And the book is aptly named - they are together for the whole story. Not necessarily as a couple - even though they click right away, they have things to work through & do so beautifully.

We get humor & movie references & emotion & page-turning & all sorts of things I love in my love stories! Absolutely loved it from beginning to end! Highly recommend this - and EVERY story by this author, because I've never been disappointed.
