Beautifully Scarred by H.P. Davenport

I'm so blessed to be even a small part of this book community  There are so many wonderful, amazing stories to read, and this is one of my favorites of the year so far!  Swoony goodness!

My Review:

OH my goodness, this is an emotional read! Grab tissues & get ready to fall in love with Mills & Lee. 

I wasn't sure how I felt about Juliette at the beginning. Her approach to sex is not something I enjoy in my main characters - male or female - because I don't want to read about them w/ other ppl. And while the opening isn't graphic by any means, it still put me off her a bit right from the start. So, imagine my surprise when I found myself actually really liking her! She has reasons for the way she's been w/ men, and as I read, I understood why her story had to open the way it did.

Lee... *swoon* He is cocky without being a jerk. I love how they meet & all the things they discover they like about each other. There are steamy (STEAM-Y) times but there are also the sweet times when they're just hanging out, being together & falling for each other. 

I got swept away into their story, and I LOOOOOOVE the connections & their relationships w/ the other characters. Thumbs up! Beautifully Scarred is a beautiful story. : )

Breathless by Lex Martin

First of all, have you read Shameless & Reckless?  

They're both amazing reads!  

Family/friends/communities series just make me so happy... 

But this... THIS might be my favorite of the series!!

My review:

10+++ stars!! Logan & Joey's story is SO WONDERFUL!! The story starts out with them being a bit estranged, but soon their family is working together to get them, well, together. It's a very subtle working, as far as the story goes - there's no overt "matchmaking" going on, per se. It's just that everyone knows they belong together & try to gently nudge them along... : ) 

I love the friendship and the way it blossomed into love. Joey knows she's been in love w/ Logan forever; Logan's a little slower on the uptake, but once his eyes are opened... *cheesy grin* 

This story has a high level of fun & laughter, sweet mixed w/ the perfect level of STEAM. There's a bit of a mystery, a villain of sorts... or maybe more than one. You'll just have to read to find out! And I HIGHLY recommend you read this one! Also, if you haven't read the first two books, you won't be lost at all & can totally read this on its own & enjoy Logan & Joey. BUT... I loved Shameless & Reckless, too. They're well worth the read AND Shameless is free as I write this review. 

So, go forth & fall in love, my friends!! : )

P.S. - The author asks at the end if we'd like a story w/ Isaiah & Liberty. My answer is YES, PLEASE!

Rock Bottom by Emily Goodwin

LOOOOOVE this story!!!

Really, every story I've read in this series has been enjoyable, entertaining & full of great characters & solid writing.  Definitely one I recommend!!  : )

And of course, I would LOVE it if you shared your thoughts once you read this or any story in the series!  

I highly enjoyed Dean & Rory's story for the most part. My only negative is the drama at the end felt both forced and rushed, and annoyed me in what was otherwise an outstanding story! 

They both find themselves going through some pretty crappy circumstances, and handle those circumstances in different ways. I LOVED the way their first meeting came about, and they have some great banter going on! And their story is H O T *fans self* and steamy! ; ) 

Even though Dean wasn't supposed to get a story originally, I am SO HAPPY that he did. He deserved a really great HEA, and Rory was really the perfect woman to give him exactly what he needed. She fit into the family so perfectly - and that was another thing I loved, seeing & catching up w/ everyone in the family. 

This story is very well written & even w/ my slight annoyance w/ the drama at the end, the ENDING was perfect & well done & overall the story made me happy!!! : )
