Wingspan by Cambria Hebert

 Cambria Hebert has been on my favorite authors list since her Take It Off series. I think I saw a teaser for Text on Facebook & it sucked me into the world of intrigue created by this talented author. Then I devoured the stories before it & chomped at the bit for the stories after it to be released. And, at the time, I was strictly a paperback reader, so I also may have petted all the pretty covers... :D 

Anyway, this post is not about that series! Or the House of Misfits series, which is another favorite... 

THIS is about her latest series, Westbrook Elite! 

Book 1, Wet, is full of that signature intrigue, and is about Ryan & Rory. And we're introduced to Jamie Owens, our hero of Book 2, Wingspan. Bro, his wingspan plays a very big (heh) part in the story! 

My Review:

Wow!!! I didn't want the story to end. I love Jamie & Madison! They have so much banter and wit to their relationship. The way he pays attention to her reactions & adjusts his responses to make sure she knows she is always safe with him is really beautiful! 

Love getting more Ryan, Rory, Wes, Max, and the others, too. Each character is fully developed and awesome! Family, friendship, and of course the steam - it's all wonderful!!

Stunner by Jessica Prince

Stunner is book 3 in the Whiskey Dolls series. 

This series has been full of fun reads! : ) 

My Review:

Asher & Owen are ALL KINDS of swoon! Their story is fun, steamy but not OTT, and has a dash of suspense. Oh, and cute puppers! 😁

I loved this story from the very beginning, and it was a quick read for me. I loved Owen's protective instincts with Asher, and the way they communicate. Owen makes the point that their relationship might seem to be moving fast, but he's had feelings for her since they met, so there's no need to "waste any more time!" 

Also some great friendship conversations between the other Dolls & Asher, which was great to see!

Making the Match by Kristen Ashley

 I love this series SO MUCH!! 

It has pulled me in and made me fall in love with this family - they're extended and blended and it's really a very neat dynamic, with parents finding love again as well as adult children. As each new couple gets together, the "new" member is embraced into the fold. 

In Tom & Mika's story, there are some bumps with the folding, and we all may want to smack a few ppl a coupla times to get their heads outta their butts, but it works out, and the depth of the story feels ... REAL. And hopeful. And I just LOVE IT! : ) 

My Review:

I had no idea when I started this series that I would fall in love with Tom. He cheated. In romance, that is a hard no for me. However, as the series continued and we got to know him, I began to root for him to have his own HEA. Not with Imogen - obviously that relationship was over bc she was able to reconnect with Bowie. 

Learning about Mika, their history, their connection that existed and the way it did, gave me super happy vibes! She is an awesome character and I am happy that Tom was her HEA as she was his.

Also, as in Chasing Serenity, my love for Corey keeps growing. I thought him a villain, only to learn he may have done some villainous things, but his heart was so full of love - I miss him. I'm sorry he's not there to see the fruits of his efforts... and I'm hopeful Rhys is going to get an HEA with the woman I sense he's in love with, and that Corey orchestrated that somehow, too. ❤️

Tom & Mika's installment is full of love, forgiveness, family... I love the way this series continues to give multiple POVs in addition to the main characters. The feeling is of an epic story, not just interconnected books, but a saga worthy of Dynasty - or, more recently, Yellowstone. (I've never seen Yellowstone, so my comparison is strictly surface and nothing specific.)

I'm looking forward to more from this family, and am excited to read what's next!

Bombshell brings the sweet, the sassy, the heat, the joy, the tears... It has it all! 

I loved getting to know Marin a bit in Charlotte's story, and her HEA with Pierce & his Eli is all I could have hoped for. Pierce has a wall of ice around his heart when it comes to any romantic entanglements, but Marin sure does a good job of melting that w/ her light! He tries to resist... 

The interactions between them, the backstories for both characters, the resolutions that happen, all works together to give an amazing story that kept me turning pages! I fell in love with this couple, and I'm excited for more in this series!!

Shattered Sea by Catherine Cowles

This series has been such a fantastic read, and the latest, Shattered Sea has been added to my favorites! 

Our heroine suffers from chronic pain as a result of an accident when she was younger, and I fully understand that type of situation. Although my chronic pain is due to arthritis & other issues rather than an accident, the way it's described & things / feelings she has are spot on. 

My Review: 

Oh my goodness! Boden & Laiken! This story is pure joy.

I mean, there's darkness & suspense within the story line. There's danger & intrigue, as in all the amazing stories this author gifts us. But the hearts of our two main characters are pure gold and they are a joy to read about! And!! They each have a pupper full of personality to give everyone smiles. 🙂

I love this installment extra much, and that ending gives ALL THE SWOONS! (Plus a sneak peek of Shiloh's story. Ooh!!!) 💙
