Rock Bottom by Emily Goodwin

LOOOOOVE this story!!!
Really, every story I've read in this series has been enjoyable, entertaining & full of great characters & solid writing.  Definitely one I recommend!!  : )

Here's my review & some links in case you want to check it out.
And of course, I would LOVE it if you shared your thoughts once you read this or any story in the series!

I highly enjoyed Dean & Rory's story for the most part. My only negative is the drama at the end felt both forced and rushed, and annoyed me in what was otherwise an outstanding story!

They both find themselves going through some pretty crappy circumstances, and handle those circumstances in different ways. I LOVED the way their first meeting came about, and they have some great banter going on! And their story is H O T *fans self* and steamy! ; )

Even though Dean wasn't supposed to get a story originally, I am SO HAPPY that he did. He deserved a really great HEA, and Rory was really the perfect woman to give him exactly what he needed. She fit into the family so perfectly - and that was another thing I loved, seeing & catching up w/ everyone in the family.

This story is very well written & even w/ my slight annoyance w/ the drama at the end, the ENDING was perfect & well done & overall the story made me happy!!! : )

Sneak Peek - Beautifully Broken Control by Catherine Cowles

Y'all!  This is one of my FAVORITE stories so far this year!  I love this series, and this might just be my most loved.  Each story is unique but perfectly connected!  It's coming out February 18th & I HIGHLY recommend it.  AND if you haven't read the series, you have time to catch up.  Book 1 is even free right now!!  : )  *Click on series - it'll take you right there!*

Read on for the synopsis, prologue & links!  <3

A woman trying to rebuild her life.

Kennedy is doing all she can to escape, to prove that she’s not the monster her father was.
A simple life of peace and service is all she needs.

A man haunted by a past he can’t forget.

Cain has buried his demons under layers of control and success.
The only thing he needs is his company and his solitude.
Certainly not a woman with captivating green eyes filled with ghosts so similar to his own.

He’s a reminder of the life she’s left behind. And she’s a threat to his tightly guarded control.
As sparks fly between them, they discover that what they might need most is each other.

But with pasts like theirs . . . you never know when darkness might descend.

Prologue:

A single bead of sweat rolled down my sternum, and my hand shook as I tried to wipe it away.

“Don’t.” The tech guy’s stern voice whipped through the small cargo van, making me jump.

“Geez, Whitley, would you calm down already?” Agent Carnes gave me a reassuring smile that did nothing to ease the rapid beat of my heart.

Agent Whitley turned his scowl from me to Carnes.
“This case has been years in the making, and she’s going to blow it by covering the mic with her hand because she’s twirling her hair or some
other stupid shit.”

I winced, slowly lowering my hands to my lap and resting them carefully on my Chanel bag. The purse was a lie, just like the rest of my life.
The pale pink tufted leather had made me so happy when my mother had gifted it to me for my birthday, reminding me of the pointe shoes
I loved so much. Now, just the feel of it made me sick to my stomach.

“Kennedy?”

My gaze jumped from the purse to Agent Carnes. “Hmm?”

Unease filled his expression. “You good on the plan?”

Cover Reveal from HP Davenport!!!

Goodness this cover is just gorgeous!!  I'm looking forward to the story, as well, of course!!  ; )

With her past firmly behind her where it belongs, Juliette has made a career out of turning her scars into art. She uses her skills to help others cover the evidence of their pain, too.
But some scars are too deep, too painful for anyone to hide completely.
Juliette has everything she could ever need--great parents, her dream job, the best friend a girl could ask for, and a new body to warm her bed whenever she wants. With her focus firmly on the here and now, she never expects a kiss from a stranger to throw a bomb in the middle of her carefully constructed life.
Every wound leaves a scar.
Every scar tells a story.
Her story left her beautifully scarred.

SPOTLIGHT - The Celebrity Series by J Sterling

Have y'all read this series?
I read Seeing Stars in paperback before I had Kindle.
I fell HARD for the story - it's quick & sweet & has a super fabulous twist that made me go "OHHHH!  Brilliant!!"
Breaking Stars gave me that same feeling.

Losing Stars recently came out, and Jenn sent out an email explaining why it took so long between Breaking Stars for this one to come out.  The story behind the story was so very touching, I'm telling you!  But, it also made me a little apprehensive to read Quinn & Ryson's story, because it sounded like it was going to be WAY more emotionally heavy than the other two.  A big part of what makes them favorites is their lightness while still dealing w/ serious things.

So, I didn't read it right away like I thought I would.
I wanted to re-read the first two books before diving in, but I kept putting it off because I wasn't ready for the emotions... And then a couple weeks ago Jenn took over one of my favorite Instagram pages & I felt like NOW IS THE TIME for the re-read & to dive into Losing stars.

So I did.

Y'all!!

IT
WAS
WONDERFUL!!!

Getting back into that world & doing my reread of Seeing Stars & Breaking Stars was lovely.  And diving right into Quinn & Ryson after having spent time w/ them again was the perfect way to read Losing Stars.  The writing was on point, the story is emotional & SO REWARDING!  I love the direction she took them in.

So, if you're looking for something to dive into, to immerse in & enjoy a LOT, I highly recommend these three books.  *all the hearts*

Update - Review - Bad Alibi by Jessica Prince

Isn't that GORGEOUS!? I'm so looking forward to this - Y'all know I love the Hope Valley series, and this is a spin off of sorts. Cannon was introduced to us in the most recent one... :D
SYNOPSIS:
Having grown up trapped in a gilded cage, the events of one tragic night changed everything.
Farah Highland was raised with more money than most people could ever dream of, but with that wealth and privilege came cold indifference and cruelty. Determined to start living for herself, Farah cut ties with everything and everyone she’d ever known for the chance at starting over in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains.
Notorious town playboy, Cannon Banks grew up living the good life. He had it all, loving parents, good friends, and a face and body that drove women wild. Love and commitment were the last things on his mind . . . until he locked eyes with a woman across a crowded bar, and everything changed in a heartbeat.
There’s just one problem. Bad Alibi’s newest waitress wants nothing to do with him. But he’s nothing if not determined.
Cannon and Farah are about to enter into a battle of wills.
May the best man . . . or woman, win.

And now it's time for that review!
I SOOOO loved this story!  It lived up to my expectations & made me a happy reader!

This author has done it again - given us another town full of characters to fall in love with & I for one am extremely HAPPY!!!

Farah's reasons for moving to Redemption are heartbreaking, but the joy & family she finds there are so wonderfully written. She & Cannon have instant chemistry, but it's not an instant relationship. They have some bumps in the road to get through first. I love how those are written - part if it is a usual hard no for me, but the way that part's done in this case was completely believable & didn't give me the "ugh, no" feeling. So that was a plus!!

Once they get together, they're together & I really enjoyed watching their relationship grow! I also LOVE the family & friendships throughout the story. HUGE thumbs up & looking forward to the next story in the series!! : )

I can't recommend The Hope Valley series & now this spin off enough.
Grab them, read them, enjoy!!
